The People
The original Flying Dolly’s is located in Mandeville, Louisiana on the New Orleans Northshore. It was named for owners Corey and Jeff Robertson’s one-eyed pug who had a habit of crawling into the suitcase whenever the family was packing for a trip.
JEFF & COREY'S EXPERIENCE
Flying Dolly’s was founded in 2011 by Jeff and Corey Robertson. Initially, the shop operated under the name Just Chillin’ Sweet Treats, a dessert shop staple in the community for over 12 years.
Because the region seldom experiences harsh winters, the pair decided to open a family-run, year-round snoball shop that also offered up more than 24 flavors of homemade ice cream. The locally churned hand-scooped ice cream paired well with the extensive lineup of snoballs and from there the Flying Dolly’s gourmet stuffed snoball was born.
As the brand gained popularity on the Northshore of New Orleans, the husband and wife team chose to partner with a life-long friend and business franchise consultant Nick Binnings to bring its year-round sweet treats concept to areas beyond Southern Louisiana.
